Vintage Thobe from Bethlehem | 1970s

The Thobe is the most iconic and traditional garment worn by Palestinian women.

This particular Thobe originates from the Bethlehem region and was designed for everyday use. The main body (Badan) is made from a thick, velvet textile. Its chest panel (Qabba) features the distinctive ‘Anbar design.

This is a one-of-a-kind piece and is estimated to be 50 years old.

Measurements (taken flat — double for full circumference):

• Bust: 61.5 cm (≈123 cm around)

• Hips: 67 cm (≈134 cm around)

• Length: 139 cm
